Waaaaaaay back when I started high school (1962) the Frankford section of Philadelphia had lotsa cool places to eat: The Riviera Restaurant, near the Margaret and Orthodox El stop, (The Pizza shop right AT the bottom of the stairs at the El stop) also... Horn&Hardart... there was Cutler's right on Harrison Street by the school (great place for sodas, ice cream etc...) and then... my favorite for junk food: Schwartzie's at Large and Harrison! I got my first ever Reese's Peanut Butter Cup there. AND.. they were HUGE... and only 5 cents. :) Posted: 08/19/2008 |
